Beyond Uganda

Educate. Empower. Restore.

Beyond Uganda's vision is to see lives transformed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ through intentional discipleship in education, vocation, and the local church. We long to see spiritually and physically healthy individuals and families who are contributing members of their local and global communities. Our ministry strives to partner with people, “offering a hand up, not a hand out” through resources and skills that provide care for their immediate needs, while also equipping them to learn the Biblical mandate of hard work and caring for our family members.

Beyond Uganda is dedicated to see communities develop through empowering women, educating children, and restoring families.

Our Trips to Uganda

How You Can Get Involved

Clean Water

Historically, in Uganda, many wells have been dug by the government and organizations but they quickly run dry or collapse and the community is in the same situation they were before. This has led us to not just dig a well but to work with the community chosen for a Sustainable Community Water Integration System. This process usually takes 3-4 months and requires at least 4-5 community visits.

Empowering Women

The Loan Women Program was born out of seeing the need of the many women who were widowed, living with HIV, or simply living in poverty.  We do not want to merely fix immediate needs and perpetuate the dependency on others that keep these women locked in poverty.  We want to partner with the local women to empower them and create opportunities for them to help themselves out of poverty.

Micro-Loan Program

The micro-loan program is a program that teaches women life skills that equip them to be self-sufficient for their families.
An interest-free loan of $50 is given to a qualifying woman who is then placed into a community of fellow loan women, where they are equipped with business skills and practices. Once they launch their business, they are given six months to repay their loan. After repayment, they are able to choose another woman in the community to receive a loan and go through the program.

Not Forgotten Program

We don’t want you to be just a sponsor, we invite you to be an investor!  Each one of our children has dreams and ambitions to be something important to God and to this world, but in their current situation, they have lost hope. Being a part of Beyond Uganda has given them a sense of family they have never had, but we lack the resources to empower them to follow their dreams. That’s where you come in! Together we can invest in the life of a child and in doing so change the future of not only that child but those they will impact in the future.

Bricklayer Team

As Bricklayers you are building the foundation of this organization through qualified staff, both in Uganda and the United States, providing office space to operate, supplying an incredible website and media, allowing the production of marketing materials, and much more. All of this enables programs on the ground in Uganda to operate efficiently with a greater impact and results. When there is a greater impact, more lives are changed. Ready to jump in and change the World? Whether you jump in at $5 a month or $5,000 a month, you’re on the team!

RUTH Program

Our RUTH program initially started as our “loan program” but has slowly evolved over its program that adopted the name RUTH. RUTH stands for Redeem Uplift Thrive and Hope; everything the program aims to provide. The program exists to train women in the business of crafting and creating for self-sustainability. Through purchasing individual items or wholesale, your partnership creates economic, educational, and eternal change for women in Uganda.
